from hell to love

Wie so viele andere Künstler kannte Auguste Rodin die verschiedensten Seiten des Lebens und der Gefühlswelten. So schenkte er uns ein Kunstwerk wie seine Darstellung vom Höllentor. Eine Hölle mit und von Menschen... Leidende, sich windende, schreiende, sich ziehend und abstossende Gestalten. Das Werk ist sehr gross und detailreich, eine fast unendlich scheinende Anzahl von Schmerzen und Leiden darstellend.

Ich schrieb schon mal, wie sehr ich zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt von diesem Werk berührt wurde. Siehe den hier verlinkten Post "Trauma" im Blog "Are You Hearing Me?"

Und Rodin schenkt uns auch ein sich küssendes Paar. Das Werk fasziniert durch harmonische Formen und Strukturen, durch ruhige aber keineswegs statische Haltungen von Mann und Frau. Ohne irgendwelche Scham in unserer Kultur zu wecken, schafft es Rodin dennoch die Anziehung und das gegenseitige Verlangen zwischen den Geschlechtern darzustellen. Mich besticht ausserdem dass, den Kuss zweier nackter Menschen zeigend, dennoch jede Menge Raum für das Ahnen von Gefühl und Zärtlichkeit besteht.
